Project description

The aim of the project is to form a long lasting platform for collaboration associated with the challenges the Baltic Sea region and neighbouring areas are facing within the field of renewable energy in general, and biomethane for transportation or grid injection in particular. The main outcome of the project will be the establishment of a non-profit association, the Baltic Energy Innovation Centre, BEIC, with members from the Baltic Sea region including countries within EU’s Eastern Partnership.

The objective is to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon circular economy in terms of efficient and sustainable supply, distribution and utilization of renewable energy. In addition the BEIC will organise cross-baltic knowledge exchange activities, e.g. seminar/conference activities.
